 Animal Breeders Software
Animal breeding is business. And when you are in business, you want productivity and cost-effective options. The Hamilton Thorne sperm analyzers offer you both.
By using an IVOS or CEROS analyzer in your facility, you can monitor and track sperm quality in both pre- and post-thaw samples. The analyzer calculates sperm motility, concentration, sperm velocity and progressive motility. It also automatically calculates dilution ratios based on your criteria of the number of progressively motile sperm required per straw volume. The IDENT fluorescent feature of the IVOS also makes analysis of post-thaw samples in egg yolk most precise.
By using automated analysis and the built-in database functions, records for each animal are easily maintained. The detailed reports also help you spot trends, such as declining concentration, velocity or motility, that may lead to potential fertility problems.
Equine Breeders Software
 As the developer of the Equitainer system for transportation of cooled, equine semen, Hamilton Thorne has deep roots in the field of equine sperm analysis and handling. In fact, stallion sperm was the first type of sperm analyzed using the HTR analyzers.
The IVOS and CEROS analyzers are used at veterinary universities, equine breeding farms and equine clinics around the world. Interest in artificial insemination, semen freezing and other reproductive technologies is increasing globally and effective breeding programs require accurate assessment of sperm quality. The HTR analyzers provide accurate assessment of sperm motility, velocity, concentration and morphology. Not only do our sperm analyzers let you maintain a detailed record of each stallions sperm quality, but they also allow you to detect adverse trends in sperm motility and morphology before they become problematic.
Custom software for the equine breeder makes it easy to determine dilution factors, based on either the number of total sperm or number of progressively motile sperm required per insemination dose.
Simply enter the dose requirements on the Dose Info screen (above), as well as the ejaculate volume and dose volume (on the separate General Info screen) and the analyzer will perform all the calculations for you (below).

Animal Motility Software
 The Animal Motility Software may be used to analyze the sperm of almost any species (except for rat sperm). With the availability of seven user-defined Analysis Setups, the unique parameters required to analyze up to seven different species may be stored in memory and accessed by the touch of a button.
 Compatible with both the IVOS and the CEROS analyzers, the Animal Motility Software may be chosen as the primary software installed on the analysis system, or purchased as an added option. The latter is useful for laboratories with a TOX IVOS that would also like to analyze sperm from species other than rat.
