Catherine Welch is an accomplished clinical embryologist with over 20 years of experience in the IVF field. She received dual Bachelor of Science degrees from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo in Animal Science and Agribusiness, and then went on to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration with a Biotechnology focus from the University of California, San Diego. Catherine has worked in some of the most respected IVF laboratories and is proficient in all assisted reproductive techniques. 

In addition to her lab skills, Catherine has consulted clinics in laboratory management, inspection preparation, and new lab design and development. She has participated as an instructor for many of Hamilton Thorne’s biopsy workshops and has a passion for collaboration in sharing and learning best practices in the embryology field. She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society, and certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis as a Technical Supervisor in both Embryology and Andrology.
